ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Jubail is capable of producing Premium, standard and API OCTG products (casing & tubing), Line Pipes, meeting and exceeding major O&G operator's specifications and various international standards for the O&G industry; Structural pipes as per ASTM, EN and various other standards applicable in the construction industry.
ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Jubail is capable of manufacturing Proprietary Steel grades surpassing API requirements such as:
- Sour Service grades
- High Collapse
- High Collapse and Sour Service
- High Strength grades
Sour Service grades
AMTPJ developed proprietary Sour Service Grades have improved resistance to Sulfide Stress Cracking in low pH and H2S containing environment. These properties were achieved by:Clean steel, with a very low level of residual elements
- Clean steel, with a very low level of residual elements
- Optimal chemical composition to meet the mechanical properties
- Fine-grained microstructure through rolling and heat treatment
- Precise process control at all stages of the manufacturing
High Collapse
High collapse grades were developed as the wells were getting deeper and collapse resistance of the tubular products became essential property. Collapse resistance of the AMTPJ pipes are achieved by controlling yield strength and perfect geometry of the pipes achieved through PQF mill. Keeping residual stresses as low as possible and controlling D/t ratio achieved through heat treatment and perfect process control improves eventual product collapse resistance significantly. AMTPJ High Collapse grades consistently outperform all API grades collapse resistance values.
High Collapse and Sour Service
High Collapse and Sour Service steel grades were developed by AMTPJ to meet the needs of oil and gas operations in environments with a combination of high external pressure and presence of H2S to avoid Sulfide Stress Cracking. The mechanical properties are achieved through clean steel, optimum chemical composition, perfect process and dimensions control. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility ensures to get strict cleanliness of the billets, physical and metallurgical controls as well as tight dimensional controls to ensure outstanding resistance to hydrogen sulfide cracking under high external pressures.
High Strength grades
AMTPJ developed High Strength grades to meet the requirements of the deep wells. As the depth increase combination of high pressure and temperature defines the use of high strength material. Cr-Mo-Nb based steel grades with excellent hardenability and high temperature resistance are used to make AMTPJ High Strength Grades that have superb strength, toughness and restricted hardness variation.
